Label "CollEX"
The richness of its collections, and the rarity and value of some of its holdings, make the IHPST library one of the most important in its field of specialization.
Since January 2018, the IHPST library's collections have been designated "Collections of Excellence" for research by the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research.
You can consult the call for expressions of interest launched last year here: http://www.collex.eu/appel-a-manifestation-dinteret/
This designation allows the library to fully integrate into the national documentary landscape, complementing other reference libraries in the field of health, science, and technology (HPST). The Institute actively pursued this application.
This commitment takes the form of participation in all actions aimed at bringing researchers closer to the resources available to them, both in terms of collection and referencing, digitization, access or promotion through research services.
Integration into the Shared Preservation Plan for Philosophy Periodicals
In June 2017, the IHPST decided to integrate the Shared Preservation Plan for Philosophy Periodicals.
The aim of the Shared Preservation Plan for Philosophy is to streamline the acquisition, preservation, and disposal of print periodicals among libraries specializing in philosophy or holding significant collections in philosophy. It seeks to establish cooperation between these institutions to safeguard collections in the field of philosophy.
